it's a oneshot collection so here's a summary / what characters are explored in each chapter, so you can never lose the one you're looking for
i've since separated out most of hte lore critical oneshots except a few of the ones that are just so reliant on ywkon lore (mostly re: anna) so now i can say "i think you should read all of them" but i'll continue marking the ones that are like Lore Really Happens In This One with an asterick

chapter 1 - constants and variables - the Architect regrets, reflects (Kranna hints)
*chapter 2 - a miracle - Anna survives the Aegis cannon blast. Somehow. (vaguer-but-still-technically-present Kranna hints)
*chapter 3 - first and final - explores the concept of Anna reincarnating. most noticeably features the bit where Kratos escapes (is rescued) from Kvar's nonsense. (Kranna hints)
*chapter 4 - the ratio of freckles to stars - Zelloyd closet makeouts / zelloyd Officially starting dating (Zelloyd)
chapter 5 - tfw ether lines - a short Zelloyd drabble that's just gay fluff (Zelloyd)
**chapter 6 - alone, not alone - Anna and Malos meet aka (Malos voice) I GUESS I'M A DAD NOW??
chapter 7 - the way it was - the Aegises reflect on their father, now that they know the truth (Martel, Mithos, Kratos-- the relationship between the three of them, and their relationship with the Architect)
chapter 8 - Contact - were you wondering where the fuck the Architect got his power? Wonder no longer!
chapter 9 - you're trembling - a kranna for a writing prompt. Kratos has a bad day.
*chapter 10 - stirs of memories, whisper, linger - Anna has a nightmare about one of her past lives. (Anna+Malos)
chapter 11 - do not speak ill of the dead - "Y'do realize that's a child's heart in you, right?" (Nia, Kratos)
chapter 12 - lifeline - a YWKON2 interlude that didn't quite make the cut, Colette comforting Kratos in small ways
*chapter 13 - it comes with a price - Martel and Kratos, on why Martel hid so long in the back of Colette's mind ft Colette fuckor
chapter 14 - Genis, Kratos, and something inevitable - Genis and Kratos accidentally set off each other's "can't stand unexpected physical contact" trauma and then talk a little about it
chapter 15 - pardon all my precious scars - Kratos tells Anna the whole bullshit re: how the fuck he's a flesh eater, anyway (kranna)
chapter 16 - calm in the storm - a little slice of jinmalos
chapter 17 - imagine that you are Anna Aurion - fuckor about the Anna who lived 500 years ago, the Anna who lost her son and husband both to Kvar, bonus to installment 17 of 25 lives
chapter 18 - caught in the rain - misc kranna fluff
*chapter 19 - just like that - martel learns the importance of boundaries (martel&colette, martel&kratos)
chapter 20 - bonus flynn+hubert scene from 24.8, wrote it and then had to scrap it
*chapter 21 - a room that has never been warm - jade waking up for the first time this lifetime,, it's not technically lore critical but i do think it's VERY good is the thing
*chapter 22 - in which Jade and Colette have a converastion, contextless - fun convo about regrets and coping with having bad things happen to you, only 300 words, a nice character vignette imo
*chapter 23 - brand new bright blue - brief scene going over what the fuck genis and co have been up to since ywkon1 ended since i extremely forgot to like... address that? for three years??? minor genis/mithos hints but mithos isn't even on screen lol, seles and sheena and raine are also here
chapter 24 - tfw you're so mad on another blade's behalf you have to go spar about it - jade coping with the tales of destiny cast being introduced to the series ft mythra, thinking about chaltier, and also about asch
