Here's all the things that come up in KHUX that are relevant in KH3.
Disclaimer: KH3 really only mentions khux offhand about 5 times, and then there's One major emotional moment that's only emotional if you've played khux, but the emotion comes mostly from YOOOOOOOOOOOOO KHUX REFERENCE YOOOOOOO so like. weigh it as you will! otherwise here's everything I think you need to know

khux (unchained key) is a mobile game that was supposed to redux browser chi, but things got a little out of hand......., and eventually moved onto its own (khux, union cross) unique original plot that was.... meant to tie into kh3????? at this point it mostly looks like it's going to tie into kh4, which is why all the kh3 references are off hand. planting seeds for the future, not actually things you need to know RIGHT NOW.

He's their leader and he's kind of a shitbag. abbreivated to MoM by the fandom a lot which isn't at all confusing for being mom if you don't capitalize shit and also the acronym for the rhythm game melody of memory. Anyway he notably 1) set up his apprentices to start a war 2) is the og wielder of the Nortblade, the goatblade. Apparently the eye in that thing is his own eye???? Gross, dude,

Foretellers: there are 6 apprentices of MoM, but only 5 of them make up the Foretellers, which lead each union in the game. Furry squad.

Back Cover is fun and the foretellers are cool but I cannot stress enough that they are barely relevant even to khux itself lol.

Ava is the most important in that she was tasked with creating the
Dandelions, which is a collection of keykids that would survive the war by going to another world (
Season 2), but hilariously is the one who started the war herself. Lol. love her.

Luxu is the remaining appreintice of MoM, who also has no visual design just wears an org cloak with the hood up. He is tasked by MoM to carry the goatblade (CONTAINING MOM'S EYE) so that the eye is always present to witness the events of history, which is how MoM wrote the
Book of Prophecies. By. In the past connecting to his eye in the future. IDFK. Luxu manages this via a lot of bodyhopping to stay young.

A Box that MoM told him to carry around. It's just a giant black trunk. The fuck is in that thing. No one knows! Maleficent is really interested in it though--- BECAUSE, AND I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW BATSHIT THIS IS, SHE BRIEFLY VISITED A DATA VERSION OF THIS TIME PERIOD (
SEASON 2) AND LEARNED OF THE BOX FROM THERE.

Chirithy!!!! Chirithy is a cat companion that every keykid has that is tasked with guiding them and also helping them collect lux. There are many so many chirithies..... like a billion of them.... but each keykid had their own! They're all dream eaters btw :) (creature introduced in 3D)

Keyblade War was a thing that happened during this time period!! The Player char fights in it!!! You fight the foretellers in it!!!! Keyblade wielders just start murdering each other en masse and that's why they Keyblade Graveyard! Very gruesome. Not actually relevant for kh3 but just know that-- that's what khux is fundamentally about! until it isn't anymore lol
Also sidenote I wasn't sure where to put: i THINK MoM implies that this isnt the first/last time the keyblade war is gonna play out. waugh.
> SEASON 2 (UNION CROSS)- Just to keep you up with the plot. 1) War happened 2) Foretellers are gone they just vanished 3) player char survived thanks to Ephemer and Skuld (we'll get there) who saved them, 4) Ava tasked a group of five new people to be leaders in the Foreteller's place, because 5) we (the dandelions) are all in a data world now, and 6) have erased the memories of the war from everyone so that we will carry on without the pain of it ever happening. Only the Fortellers 2 boogaloo (i forget their group name) will remember.... but of course none of them participated in it, due to >Dandelions. It's a lot.
KEY CHARACTERS
These are the most important minus one who... she doesn't have plot but she sure is here.
Top left: Marluxia, who due to not being a Nobody has the name
Lauriam. Top right: we don't fucking know. Might be
Strelitzia, who I'll describe later, becuase she's not important to KH3 the way everyone else sort of is.
Middle left: Girl with black hair is
Skuld. Middle middle boy with white hair and red scarf is
Ephemer. Middle right asshoel with hat is
Brain. That's not a typo his name is fucking Brain. I hate it here.

These five make up Foretellers 2 and the plot of Season 2 is mostly about them! And also their friendship with Player Character, and it's good imo but.... not the bit that's relevant for KH3.

Elrena - for some reason!!! The fact that they were here in ye olden days of the Actual Keyblade War Era might be why Xehanort is interested in them. Maybe not ! Who knows!

Important to know that Ephemer and Skuld and Player were Big Friends during Season 1 of khux imo. But that might be my personal nostalgia speaking. Ephemer is kind of the poster boy of the game also lol.

As in she's the only char other than Sora that's been in a KH4 trailer??????? It's so.
