thinking about jademythra.........
listen to me. they would both do unspeakable things for the other. HOWEVER. they are both well aware at what point the other would want them to stop.
fun flavorful "i would burn the world for them, but i know they wouldn't want me to, so i won't" and i just think that's neat
YES i got here because i was thinking about the age old "would your ship do the SotC thing" and the answer is simultaneously yes and no. jade and mythra both would do something taht stupid to resurrect the other BUT ALSO would know the other wouldn't want them to so they wouldn't
"do not save me if it destroys yourself" etc etc etc
"making me live in a world without you when i was already fucking dead is not a gift, thanks"
like i DO think if the ending of this scenario was whoops! you freed an ancient evil!!! great news you're both alive though-- that would be a different story
JUST KEEPS ROTATING IT BECAUSE I GUESS THE WHOLE ASS POINT IS THAT WANDER DOESN'T KNOW THE ENDING OF WHAT HE'S DOING, HE DOESN'T KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES, AND THAT'S PART OF THE WHOLE POINT

it's jsut fun to think about.... that usually in all cases canon or otherwise jade is exactly the kind of person who'd destroy himself trying to resurrect someone........ but with mythra he wouldn't, because he knows she'd be disappointed in him
THIS IS WHY THE QUESTION IS BOTH YES AND NO BECAUSE THEY WOULD BOTH DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT BUT THEY'D BOTH BE MORE WILLING TO AT LEAST ABORT WHEN THEY REALIZED THE COST ETC ETC IT GOES IN CIRCLES AND HONESTLY I DO THINK IT'S A HARD QUESTION
BEING SIMULTANEOUSLY "THE PRICE IS WORTH IT TO ME" AND YET KNOWING "BUT IT ISN'T WORTH IT TO YOU"......... but i think the gesture of love is greater when you show the restraint of doing what they want, and not what you want. idk. stirs soup pot rapidly
at the very least the answer to this question is they'd both do it and they'd both hate the other for doing it.......... AND i would like to think they're both fairly likely to abort when they realize the cost, knowing the other would hate them for it..... keeps stirring
end of this thought is "despite wanting to sacrifice themself for the other, neither of them would actually do it because they know that's not what the other wants"
