remembered me deciding maybe warp pads are just a regular part of ywkon society and honestly? inspired.
listen the two biggest tales influence for this series both have warp technology AND it already canonically has a warp up to derris-kharlan so like. i simply think cities should have their little warp network it'd be fun.
don't ask me about why ywkon's technology is so advanced but also kinda stagnant lol. i'm not here for in depth world building ansewrs.
my hot take about why it got so advanced to begin with is that the world was never really starting from 0. i don't have any strong opinions about why tech development is like at least twice as slow, though.
my bullshit answer is "they're too busy waging war and since they have blades the wars aren't really creating a tech boom" but even without war mint said on twitter they've got cool magic and alien tech so science is stagnating around things because they don't need Better solutions
i think the only thing they probably need better tech for is communication / entertainment / and transportation but in the "i want to explore territory that a train / warp can't get me too and i don't wnat to have to go on foot" sense
however i refuese to create cars for them it's fun if they just don't have cars. i mean like i guess jeeps or whatever for the unexplored terrain solution but cities already have warp points they don't NEED cars
