rar's funny memory lane wrt music taste trip

okay so. funny meme on twitter that was jsut like. "5 top listened to bands in high school" which for everyone else is probably an easy question but for me after middle school i stop being able to like. narrow it down to five. because i went through phases about 6month-1year each where i'd listen to Only This Set of music. part of it is the adhd part of it is the i turned 13 in 2010 which means my "high school" days were in that sweetspot of "you can listen to any music for free on the internet - BEFORE SPOTIFY WAS BIG - because no one is cracking down on copyright yet" so it was really easy for me to cycle through music rapidly, i wasn't limited to "only these albums we bought on itunes" anymore.

this question is also difficult for me specifically for reasons of. i dropped out of high school in freshman year but the school i went to was also where i went to for junior high, so my memories of "high school" are a bit hard to like. 100% differienciate from my memories of junior high, you know. and that doesn't even hit the specific memory problem of "i spent like a month visiting my sister in college, which is the same college i went to four years later, so is this really specific memory of me listening to x music on that college location from the visit or from when i was actively going to college."

AND ALSO. i don't really have a good external timeline for albums/artists because 1) i'd slowly stopped using itunes 2) i don't even have itunes downloaded anymore and have swapped computers like 5 times so i can't even sort by add by date or anything. lmao.

however its' bugging me that i don't ahve a concrete timeline and i think there is probably an answer to this question i just have to like.... dig it up lol. i have to piece things together. i have to look. that's what this post is about, it's really stream of consciousness, hope you enjoy
