rarsneezesjade musings re: totrays, ywkon and abyss jade differences,
i definitely talk about hating van / murdering van KLSJDF so if u want to not interact with that, understandable, turn away now
hilarious to me that I had to ask myself if ywkon jade was more likely to do a murder than abyss jade
yes I am talking about jade "I dont really understand what it means for people to die" curtiss, and it's not like he hasnt killed people before because he is 1) a soldier 2) a realist and definitely seriously considered killing arietta just so she wouldnt be a problem later
so he definitely has no qualms about killing it's just I dont know if hes the kind of man who'd do a premeditated murder of the sort where hes preemptively going to kill someone to protect someone he cares about. yes I am thinking about totrays yes I am wondering if jade would just murder van to prevent him from even getting near [unrolls list of traumatized children at least two of which jade feels responsible for and fond of]
I feel like he could come at that from a realist decision no problem at all, if he truly believed van to be a threat to the world as a whole - obviously he does this in abyss itself
mostly I'm just laughing because ywkon jade (not that he knows a luke) would in a heartbeat go commit a murder the moment he learned van was around for the sole purpose of protecting luke
and I dont think abyss jade would
granted even though ywkon jade is generally more well adjusted than abyss jade they are also fucked up in fundamentally different ways and blades are baseline stupid about family (tho jade would do it if luke were a stranger to him. he would only need to know that van is an abusive piece of shit)
alternatively like canon is a coward and I wouldnt want asch to do it but I think he would. WHICH BRINGS ME TO I THINK IF ASCH MENTIONED THIS TO JADE OR JADE GOT THE SENSE ASCH WAS GOING TO I THINK PERHAPS JADE WOULD DO IT HIMSELF THEN. IF KILLING VAN IS INEVITABLE, LET THE ADULT DO IT, THEN, ASCH DOESN'T NEED ANOTHER DEATH ON HIS CONSCIENCE
anyway the difference here i think is that ywkon jade would put "get rid of van" at the top of his to-do list the moment he found out he was around, and abyss jade would need to be given a more concrete reason than simply "get him out of the picture so he doesn't hurt luke etc" and also would like... table it until he has less pressing matters on his plate. JUST IN GENERAL I'M STILL THINKING ABOUT IT AND IT'S GIVING ME ERROR CODES LIKE. GO OUT OF MY WAY TO DO A MURDER TO PROTECT SOMEONE I CARE ABOUT IS JUST NOT IN ABYSS JADE'S HEAD??? HE WOULDNT HESITATE FROM THE MURDER BUT HE WOULDN'T GO HUNT VAN DOWN EITHER!!!! ywkon jade would because he's fucked up in a different way that involves 0 patience for abusive assholes but that's what happens when you have an abusive driver for 5 years ig
