rarsneezeswho wants: weird lore about my mario ocs that were hilariously out of touch with mario canon itself in a very rar brand way and also one of them still survives today in ostory. you're getting it anyway
okay when i was a kid i would like. roleplay as mario characters on the playground at recess. like just. by myself. i promise this is important. however my experience with mario was mostly thru mario parties 1-3 so like, i didn't give two shits about mario nor luigi at the time, i was like [picks up peach and daisy] [runs]
(sometimes like, toad or yoshi was there. toad used to run a shop where he just sold powerup stars that you could buy to get a power boost to beat up bad guys) (it was a very elaborate imagining that i had done. there was a Specific Tree on the playground - one of those palo verdes - that had a small hut with an elevator in it that would take you down to his brightly lit, yellow-walled store that was all power stars from wall to wall. peach got a discount. you know how it be.)
anyway peach and daisy were like siblings?? adopted siblings but siblings. their dad was either the only parent still alive or they were both dead it was just their dad's name that kept coming up (dad may have been alive but unfit to rule??), idk it gets fuzzy about here. they'd go on adventures together tho!! it was fun!!!
at some point i decided to give them adopted younger sisters!!!! twins!!! their names were clea and rose (clea, pronounced klee-uh, i think) (don't ask). clea had either brown or black hair and her themed color was purple, wore a purple dress, yanno. rose was a redhead and i fucking forget if she had a themed color at all?? clea's exciting but she definitely like. fell to the wayside in favor of me obsessing over rose.
this is where it gets wildly tonally dissonant from mario canon
the lore was that clea got adopted by the peach+daisy family but she and rose were separated at birth and rose was instead taken in by
bowser
so uh hi, welcome to "twins separated at birth raised as enemies that have to fight each other every now and then" i forget if 8 y/o rar ever resolved rose's plotline but i think if she ever did escape (???) bowser and live with her sisters i had planned for her to have a lot of relapses, so, uh,
neat
(this also might be why i can't remember a theme color for rose, because whatever her fashion sense was it wasn't princess dresses, it was bowser inspired, probably) (i may never have gotten as far as like thinking of an outfit for her also) (clea was just purple dress easy and done) (rose was ????)

i have no fucking memory of how peach and daisy fit into this au anymore at this point. all i remember is thinking about a lot of angsty rose trying to escape or suffering or clea being aware her twin is in danger possibly without even really knowing she has a twin to begin with???????????? there was probably a rescue mission at some point, maybe the twins never had to fight each other, i dunno
from there the rose lore gets Even Wilder but i think i'll save that post for another day becuase it gets away from "weird mario fanfiction" and into uhhh i don't even know how to describe what my original fiction was like when i was twelve!!! it was!!! weird!!!!!!! LIKE I MADE MY LORE SO COMPLICATED I HAD TO WRITE A DRAMATIC FREINDSHIP BREAKUP BETWEEN ROSE AND [REDACTED] BECAUSE I WAS SO SICK OF DEALING WITH ROSE'S OVER THE TOP LORE
