as much as i enjoy them In General and they're just a very fun dynamic of "shy, doesn't know how to do the romance thing but very much in love with this woman" vs "excitable puppy who thinks her husband is dumb as shit and loves him in spite of it and becuase of it" and idk god i just. god.

ywkon kranna in particular. kisses fingers like a chef. obviously i have created the kranna that caters specifically to my interests at this point becuase when you toss everything into a parallel universe all power limiters are off and you will create your ideal version of everything

they're just so good tho???? ywkon kratos is my favorite iteration of kratos becuase ywkon kratos is mostly not capable of being a dick, he's all the best parts of kratos becuase he is a kratos who hasn't had 4000 years to make a million horrible mistakes and be weighed down by grief and regret and other shit AND I'M GETTING OFF TOPIC BUT HE KNOWS HOW TO PROCESS HIS EMOTIONS PROPERLY AND KNOWS HOW TO INTERACT WITH HIS SON AND LITERALLY HONESTLY EVERYONE ELSE IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU WANT TO PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE AND THAT'S SO VALID?? i just love this married couple who are so thoroughly in love with each other and also not going to sit around and take each other's shit

but also again i love excitable puppy anna who loves loudly and proudly and with everything in her soul, she fucks up but she's earnest and she's trying and most of all just. rolls around. you know my favorite fucking goddamn thing to play with re: ywkon kranna? boundaries! IT'S SUCH A MINOR, SILLY THING BUT LIKE. it means so much to me that anna goes to every length she can to ensure she isn't stepping on on any triggers!!! JUST!!!! RIPS SHIRT OFF!! AGAIN BECUASE I MANIFESTED A NEW ONE I HAVE ENDLES SHIRTS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA fuck me it just. having a character like this makes me feel alive and it's also obviously important to me AND HONESTLY TO KRATOS that she cares so much about not hurting him becuase she is ignorant

and that's!! another fucking thing!! the fucking dichtomy of (anna aurion voice) "he will never remember me, will never trust me again" vs kratos aurion voice "anna irving was the first human i ever trusted. maybe the only human" AND LIKE IT TOOK HIM FIVE HUNDRED YEARS, ANNA, BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST VERSION OF YOU SINCE THE INCIDENT THAT HE ACTUALLY GOT TO KNOW AND GUESS WHAT!!! HE STILL TRUSTS YOU1!!

of course she had to earn that trust (just as he had to earn hers) but she worked hard for it and she worked EARNESTLY for it, because while he loves her because she's fun to be around (and also the loudest human advocate for blade rights he has ever met, which helps) what he admires the most about her is that she never purposefully pushes at his boundaries. she will on accident becuase she is a human and she fucks up but she never never never steps on one of his triggers on purpose and it's. just. important to him.

((and it's not something i may ever get into but really the only person he's interacted with at length for the past 500 years is mithos, and i love mithos, i really do, and aegis mithos is significantly better than tos mithos will ever be because aegis mithos is still sane. BUT. but. mithos at his core still has a habit of prying where he shouldn't, reaching for ansewrs he should not need and should be satisfied not having, but he is not satisfied he is never satisfied and while most of kratos' boundaries are safe around mithos not all of them are. mithos likely would never push too far but he would push more than he should, ESPECIALLY when he is upset, GESTURES SLOWLY AT THE BIT WHERE KRATOS WASN'T ANSWERING MITHOS' QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ARCHITECT SO MITHOS JSUT DUG INTO KRATOS' MEMORIES!!! anyway. mithos is not always kind but anna tries very hard to be, at least re: "avoiding at all feasible costs to avoid triggering kratos"))

AND IT'S JSUT!!! IT MEANS A LOT TO HIM AND IT MEANS A LOT TO HER AND HIS SAFETY AT HER HANDS MEANS A LOT TO HER AND THAT'S NOT, god

it's just something so special to him and she makes him feel safe, and she's gentle with him in a way that makes him feel treasured instead of fragile and that means a lot

she earned his trust becuase he knows she will never abuse it

also they are both revolutionaries and that's incredible

shy blade revolutionary scared to trust trusts One (1) human revolutionary who loves him loudly and unabashedly and who would gladly burn the world for his sake

they're both dumb in different ways and they both endlessly fondly exasperated by each other's respective dumbness

and where she is loud he is quiet and she loves that about him, she thinks his shyness is cute and somewhat intoxicating, his shyness and his honesty and his quiet playfulness that isn't loud in the traditional ways but drives her bonkers

and she is loud and playful but she's so earnest about everything, heart on her sleeve which is refreshing when he has known so few people like that, even if she is not always honest she is at least always honest with her emotions, she's fun and wonderful and shines like a burning star, like a wildfire, and it's not about taming that fire it's about standing back and watching it burn and being so in love with what it is doing and this metaphor got away from me but i think that is the kranna experience: anna's thoughts are usually straightfoward if winding (thanks adhd) and kratos' thoughts are usually big and full of metaphors that are hard to tie down

other things to love about ywkon kranna: an almost IMPECCABLE recreation of xc2's jinmalos, in which anna is the malos and kraots is the jin. kratos who has been hurt by humanity and anna who will gladly burn the world for his sake if only he ask, which is hilarious because in ywkon a reflection of malos is anna's dad and it jsut means irving taste in men? the same

(which even carries on to the next generation, as lloyd finds zelos and though lloyd likely wouldn't burn the world for zelos he would at least bend it over his knee and rewrite it to free zelos from its oppressive system so like ESSENTIALLY THE SAME THIGN plus jin kratos zelos all nerd adjacent while malos anna lloyd all jocks through and through)
