well let's start at the top

God "Origin" the Architect made Mithos and Martel, the original Aegises. They call him Father, and though that's not really how he sees it, he never told them not to do that, so.

Mithos and Martel are siblings. This is easy. The chart has them marked as "twins" which... considering that term mostly refers to the Aegis bond, yeah, yep, twins is right.

Jumping very far down to cover a tangential relation I didn't include: The Aegisites (Asch, Luke, Sync, Ion) were made to replicate the power etc of the original Aegises... while a direct relationship between them has not been drawn in canon as of yet (if you exclude Asch's actions somehwat directly saving Mithos' life anyway) it's. Aegis category. Aegisites exist because of the Aegises. And so on.

The Aegisite pairs (Asch+Luke, Sync+Ion) are twins in every sense of the blade sibling you can be stupid about it. Asch considers Ion and Sync brothers (and the chart wrt this is mostly Asch's pov) and so blade sibling instincts kick in there, too.

the sidenote re: Asch knowing Jade 1000 years before present ywkon time is pretty self explanatory lol

(Asch knew a previous Jade. Asch also knew a previous Anna.)

moving back UP the chart

Klaus, Galea, Myyah, (Anna) (aka anna from 24.8) obviously were coworkers friends etc. I have them down as platonic dating which is more implied than anything else, but still true in my heart.

All four of them were friends with Jade, even though Jade is only directly tied to Klaus and Galea on the chart. There's a lot you have to just intuit, I couldn't put down every line.

Klaus and Galea are directly responsible for creating Mythra, and then later Malos and Pyra (explicitly twins with the Aegis bond), and then even later Alvis. All four of them are siblings.

((Technically, Klaus and Galea were inspired by Jade and Myyah's work to create Mythra, but putting THAT technicallity on the chart, in aer's words, "gives me hives"))

Jade and Mythra are platonic married.

Jade and Malik are also platonic married.

Jade has a sister, Nephry, and that is the easiest goddamn thing on this chart.

Malik is driving Sophie. She calls him "Uncle Malik" and she calls Jade "Uncle Jade" but they don't concretely think of her as their niece as much as its just convenient word for it. They're definitely family, regardless.

Mythra and Sophie are also "definitely family, would not call it sisters or niece/aunt". Family is fine.

Sophie and Lambda are twins.

Sophie and Lambda are artificial Aegis prototypes that Sylvarant made based on Colette, trying to engineer a blade that would work in the cannon. They were rescued by Richard (driving Lambda) (not on this chart) and brought to Malik due to a (not on the chart) connection Richard had to Asbel to Hubert to Jade to Malik.

Because they were based on Colette, Colette is technically their older sibling. Colette probably thinks of herself as such.

Not on the chart: Alvis and Judith are friends.

Not on the chart: Pyra is being driven by Addam.

Not on the chart: Minoth used to be good friends with Malik and live with him and help them run the bar and there's a 50% chance by current day he's actually moved in with Addam and they're in a relationship now LMAO. Minoth/Addam agenda is simply....

Back to the chart:

Malos and Jin are married.

Anna is Malos' adopted daughter.

Lora is Jin's adopted daughter.

Anna and Lora consider themselves sisters and have considered themselves sisters even before their dads got together.

Lora and Haze are dating, though Lora is also Haze's driver.

Anna and Kratos are married. They are Lloyd's parents.

Lloyd is dating Zelos and Colette.

Zelos and Colette are artificial Aegises created specifically by Myyah, but Klaus and Galea and (Anna) are partially responsible for their creation (their research backed it), as are Jade and Mythra. Jade and Mythra feel extremely responsible for them lol I just haven't gotten around to writing that yet.

ALSO. Because of Klaus and Galea's relationship with Myyah, by all accounts Mythra is the older cousin to all of Myyah's children (Zelos Colette Nova Aurora). Mythra probably considers herself their cousins for sure. Colette reciprocates, Zelos is on the fence.

((Pyra Malos Alvis are also technically cousins to Myyah's children))

Myyah also created artificial blades Nova and Aurora, who are close siblings with each other and still by definition siblings to Colette and Zelos.

Colette has complex feelings about her mom but still wishes she could have gotten to know her siblings on better terms.

Martel and Colette adopted each other as siblings after the events of YWKON. This extends to Mithos and Zelos. I think Martel and Zelos have a pretty solid sibling connection to and it's just the one to Mithos that's a little tenous but [thinks fondly about noncanon rp shenanigans and whispers the Zelos+Mithos brothers dynamic could be so good]

Colette considers Asch her cousin (Artificial Aegis solidarity! Even if Asch isn't an Aegis). She hasn't in canon yet met all of Asch's siblings but will have no reason to not also consider them her cousins as well.

Mythra considers Asch her cousin (artificial blade solidarity!) As far as I've thought about it so far it only extends to Asch but I see no reason she wouldn't warm up to Asch's brothers as well lol.

Not explicit but still implied by the chart: Anna and Kratos are surrogate parents for Colette and Zelos, mostly through Lloyd.

Lloyd's other dad who actually raised him (Dirk) isn't on the chart at all. He's a flesh eater who's been friends with Malik for years and tangentially friends with Anna as well. There's a reason he took Lloyd in after everything.

Malos is Lloyd's grandfather.

Because Mythra is Malos' sister, Lloyd is her great-nephew.

Because Jade and Mythra are (platonic) married, Lloyd is also Jade's great-nephew.

BECAUSE MYTHRA IS MARRIED TO JADE IS MARRIED TO MALIK, MALIK IS ALSO LLOYD'S GREAT UNCLE.

Granted Lloyd was born in that village and raised in it so Malik+Jade+Mythra would be close to him as well regardless, he's the little nephew of that entire village lol.

Sophie and Lloyd are more tangentially cousins based on the chart but i think Sophie would insist on calling herself Lloyd's aunt. Again he's the nephew of the entire village it's just not all of them are.... still alive.

Also: Mythra is Anna's aunt.

(tangentially Malik and Jade are Anna's uncles)

(and... Lora's as well but they don't use that family connection as much as Mythra lovingly bullies her niece....)

Also like Jin is Lloyd's grandfather and Lora is his aunt etc etc.

The way the family tree shakes out, Kratos would be Mythra's nephew in-law?????? But they don't worry about that one as much especially since Kratos is so goddamn old.

Kratos is previous driver of Mithos and Martel and considers himself their brother.

Yuan isn't on the chart :pensive: but his current lifetime is only tangentially related by the ghosts of his past, anyway, I'm sorry Yuan I admit I have done you personally dirty.... Like congrats on having a life that doesn't suck but I'm so sorry I took your strong family ties.

Not on the chart: Mithos (and Martel) are direct siblings to ToS canon Lloyd.

in YWKON though Lloyd is closer to their nephew.

Mithos to Malik's village is "they think fondly of him like a stray cat who only stopped by once and they can't catch otherwise other than that they see him steal food", which he doesn't do but emotionally it's like that. In another timeline Malik would have gone out of his way to sit Mithos down and like talk to him and he would have been family and I ache for the concept of that timeline SO bad I think Mithos deserves that........

Also like Anna is Mithos and Martel's sister-in-law, to Mithos' dismay.
