dumping grounds playlist - has 6 extra songs, good to slap on shuffle

i love hte other 6 songs a lot, really, i do, but they bog it down by either being extremely 24.8 era (or anna pov that distracts from the overarching theme otherwise) sooooo i trimmed it down to these 8 songs. it really is listen to these 8 in order or slap the 14 songs on shuffle there is no other way to do this mix

i don't have liner notes for the other 6 songs but here are some thoughts

strange love (the unlikely candidates) - miang image song but hugely anna pov. there's some kind of power move in opening on this but the rest of the mix has an underlying horror/denial that this just does not match

remember that night (grouplove) - still very good and one of my favorites, it hurt to cut it. anna pov tho. am i stupid or do i want you back? i don't know

kiss me (pomplamoose cover) - i genuinely adore this song and i think the vibe pomplamoose give it is very miangcore, HOWEVER. it would only work if i tried to transition from 24.8 era into ywkon2 era and i did not like the mix structured like that. so.

past lives (kesha) - you know why this song is here. it's not one of my favorites though.

we could have had it all (p!nk) - im really fond of this one actually and it carries the same denial/desperation that all we have is now does but... there wasn't really a place for two of those in the mix, and i would pick all we have is now every time, that one's huge miangcore to me (in fact it's the only one that's more 24.8 flavored that i let slip into the mix

in my mind (walk the moon) - this song is just a bop but it's been in and out of miang's playlist several times. matches the manic desperation, doesn't really fit miang's motivations.

also you may notice hell frozen rain is in here twice and that's becuase spotify sucks. i don't have the energy to compile this playlist anywhere though for which i'm sincerely sorry. anyway i downloaded this video for hte mp3 and if you download it and slap it in your local files it should just match the track already in my playlist. ((this happened with wine red before so))

listening to the adjusted version i did and actually i think i prefered it when the songs were in a manic order instead of a coherent/chronological one LMAO,

i have a lot of fanmixes that are just "dumping ground, best listened to on shuffle" and the miang mix is one of them which is a shame because half of these songs are literally Miang Image Songs to me - i guess maybe if i put more effort into finding more songs but god no

also if you Ask Me, i think the fact it bounces between "oh i fucked up i fucked up i fucked up so bad girl help" and "desperate longing for a girl who doesn't remember you because she reincarnated and you didn't and it's been a hundred years, and ALSO the thought of her is the only thing keeping you sane" is like. Peak Miang Aesthetic. it's Important to her character

i just wish i could really commit to that while also being coherent, but maybe i'm overthinking it too much

wake me when it's over - this is the MOST miang image song to me. if you listen to it, if you read the lyrics, you probably don't need me to explain why, but... it's just hte clinging to something you should let go, And Also You're Dying

oh ana - this is mostly in here bc anna but like. as far as miang experimenting on herself goes. also at htis point it's become a big miang image song to me. the vibes are so good and the "oh ana" just tops it off

graves - i've described this one as a "miang image song" before even though it's slightly anna pov. it just feels very "oh this is the woman who'd kidnap a child instead of doing something smarter".....

brainchild - this song is mostly here because of the opening "does she love you does she love you does she love you not" but the pingponging between desperate and manic is very miang energies as well. also i did the surprised pikachu face irl when i was coming thru the lyrics and realized the phrase "oh anna" is in there. i've been quoting that for my captions on the art above ever since. IT WASN'T TEH MOTHER MOTHER SONG. IT WAS NEVER BECAUSE OF OH ANA. IT WAS ALWAYS BECAUSE OF BRAINCHILD. LISTEN TO M--

i knew you when - im over this song a bit but "i've been loving you to long to suddenly move on from this" is just very good is the thing

all we have is now - like i said EXTREMELY 24.8 era to me because 24.8's overarching tone is that thsi isn't permanent, it was never g oign to be permanent, not in these circumstances-- so won't you let me hold you now? // however the "honey you shoudl be here-- but you're NOT" in the final stretch of the song and how desperate that hits is very ywkon 2 so yanno

hell frozen rain - ruri suggested this silent hill song and honestly it's just good. it's also miang image song to me but for significantly vaguer reasons. vibes mostly i think esp because of the voice (which i think one of us at some pitched as miang's voice claim lol)

needing/getting - THIS IS DEADASS MY FAVORITE OK GO SONG. anyway it's pretty self explanatory. "needing is one thing getting's another" which........ end of playlist becuase end of ywkon2 is miang in this mindset i'm DEFINTELY talking too much
